In a medium soup pot heat the oil. Add onion, cook stirring as needed until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic, cook stirring 1 minute.
Stir in chick peas, sage and pepper
Stir in broth, spinach & salt, bring to a boil.
Let it cool a bit then either use a hand blender or a food processor to processbeing very careful of hot splatters. Simmer for 5 minutes stirring in the lemon juice.
