It’s easy to see all the problems, issues and wrongs that should be corrected in the world, where we live and in ourselves. But, sometimes, we also need to step back and see how many things are right too.
Despite all the problems there is much beauty everywhere, many wonderful people and a multitude of things both small and large to be thankful for every day. It’s easy to lose appreciation in times of trouble, but, if we can remember to be thankful for even little things each day, we can, in Leonard Cohen’s words:
“Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”
