If you’d rather listen than read, try NPR’s interesting series of podcasts. Titled This Is Gonna Hurt, it’s a whole series of audio podcasts of widows sharing their experiences and advice with other widows. Although it is oriented to widows, the topics covered apply to anyone who has experienced loss of a spouse.
On a happier note, resilience is always an interesting topic and so necessary when times get tough. Here’s an article about 10 Ways To Improve Your Resilience that may offer some new advice to you. Note that #3 on the list is the importance of making social connections to share your feelings, feel support, and find new enjoyment with friends – our goal for all our Widowed Friends members.
