Last weekend saw the first inaugural treasure hunt/scavenger hunt/car rally for Widowed Friends! Expertly planned and executed by Phil, a group of hardy explorers took off from Bronte and spent the next two hours navigating a pre-planned route, collecting treasure ( and not quite treasures) on their journey.
The final destination was at Sharon’s lovely home in Carlyle where she hosted a b-b-q and get together for the weary pathfinders. Many thanks to Sharon for opening her house and gardens up to the group and her grandson Noah who helped out at the BBQ and wherever else as needed.
A lot of hands pitched in to help serve everyone including Billy at the BBQ, Steph, Dorothy and Lesley in food prep and many others in clean up.
Thanks to Phil (aka Capt. Jack) for the great organization from road trip planning to the selecting and awarding of prizes to various teams. Thanks to everyone who participated in this unique event. Check out the pics below!
