Recipe for a Perfect Wife by Canadian author, Karma Brown, is two stories in one book. The first is about Nellie, a 1950’s suburban housewife; the other tells the story of a modern-day woman, Alice, who finds inspiration in hidden notes left by Nellie in the home that Alice and her husband have recently moved into. Alice finds parallels between Nellie’s life and her own, causing her to question her life and rethink her relationship.
