Hello September!  Once a month, among all the other planned events, Widowed Friends hosts a casual, friendly Sunday Social for members and prospective members. This weekend our get together will be in a new location!

If you haven’t been out for a while or you’ve been thinking about coming out, this is a great event to attend to get to know some of the members and meet organizers Stephanie and Dorothy. This event is open to members and to any widows or widowers who are not members, but are interested in meeting the group.

Location: Holiday Inn, 2525 Wyecroft Rd., Oakville (1 block south of QEW)

Time: 3:00PM – 6:00PM

Cost: $35pp – cash at the door includes buffet dinner including roast beef, vegetables, salad, dessert,coffee/tea, drinks, includes tax and gratuity

Bar: Bottled beer, red/white house wine 6 oz/glass & bar rail drinks (house liquors) are available for $7 and $8 including tax & gratuity

Raffle: Basket of goodies to be raffled! Tickets – 1 for $5 or 3 for $10.

Who are Widowed Friends of Halton? We are not a grief support group. Our primary purpose is to provide a safe, social atmosphere for those of us who’ve lost spouses, have made the decision to move forward and connect with others who’ve also experienced the loss of a spouse.
